Our client develops and manufactures high quality, innovative fruit preparations for the international milk, bakery and confectionery industries. Their success is based on expertise and innovation.  They have a new opportunity for a Plant Controller at their location in the Northeast.

Position Responsibilities: Responsible for improving financial performances and providing decision support for strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications/ Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment. Proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of SAP ERP and Business Warehouse software desirable.
Strong technical and analytical skills with solid cost accounting and financial analysis background.
Experience with standard cost systems and integrated financial software (SAP).
Demonstrated leadership and strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
P&L experience with COGS and total cost reporting.

Responsibilities/Decision-Making Authority:

Responsible for managing and delivering the complete plant profitability overview in partnership with plant VP.
Lead the annual budget, monthly forecasting, and the management accounting/reporting process for the manufacturing plant.
Report monthly on manufacturing costs per site using developed variable/ fixed-costing model.
Review and advise the local management team on financial/budgetary requirements and develop financial goals in the partnership with plant leadership.
Ensure that plant goals and initiatives are developed in line with the Company values, strategic goals, and business plans.
Partner with multiple cross-functional team members, both at the corporate and business unit levels.
Ensure that the general ledger accounts and cost centers are correctly stated and classified and the financial reporting is in accordance with US GAAP standards.
Investment Analysis.
Prepare and report on system-wide KPIs and manufacturing cost data.
Set up new products / update standards for existing raw material and finished goods.
Actively participate in special projects and analysis as required.
