World’s leading producer of cereal and a leading producer of convenience foods, including cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, frozen waffles, and meat alternatives is seeking a Senior Product Development Scientist, Cereals.  Position is located in the Midwest.

This position develops, organizes, manages, and coordinates important worldwide projects while increasing the incumbent’s level of understanding of projects, processes, and methods, as well as giving general direction to assigned teams in accomplishing projects on technical and scientific investigation or developments.

Provides technical or scientific direction and expertise within the department and worldwide as an expert in a specific discipline who keeps current with the latest developments and technology through investigation, training, and communication within that discipline.

Demonstrates leadership within a specific discipline and assists in developing worldwide Company philosophy and direction within that discipline.

Exhibits innovation in discovery, advancement, and evaluation of new technologies in the area of food/process research and development, which can have a significant impact on new products, improved products or processes, and/or capital avoidance worldwide.

Demonstrates innovation/creativity to provide innovative, timely, and cost-effective improvements, concepts, developments, or scientific insight and understanding with respect to new or existing products or processes worldwide.
Position Requirements:Bachelor of Science Degree in science or engineering with twelve years experience, a Master of Science degree in Food Science or related discipline with eight years experience, or a PhD in Food Science or related discipline with four years experience.
