They are currently searching for a Laboratory Assistant Manager for their facility located in the South.

The Laboratory Assistant Manager is accountable to the Business Unit Manager and acts as back up to the Business Unit /Quality Manager in his/her absence.
The Laboratory Assistant Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist the Business Unit Manager in managing daily operations of the Microbiology department, including scheduling, supervising, instructing, monitoring, and assisting in the performance of manual and instrumental analyses.

Troubleshoot equipment/instruments utilized and perform minor repairs.
Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities; e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, Methods, and Local Policies.
Adhere to appropriate quality measures which meet or exceed the standards set by ISO/IEC 17025, government regulatory, and Company requirements. Assist laboratory staff to do the same.
Promote the Company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and customers.
Adhere to all pertinent health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Assist with product and supplies receiving.
Assist with office duties.
Perform bacterial/mold culture identifications as requested.

The ideal candidate would possess :
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Responsive problem solver and action oriented.
Experience in laboratory procedures, data analysis, computer operations, mathematics, and technical/business writing. Proven ability to work in a cGMP environment.
Must be able to organize and lead laboratory personnel in a manner that reflects corporate goals and objectives and schedule workflow so as to optimize laboratory productivity and client satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field with at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Position is full-time, with overtime as needed.
