The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences announced March 8 an agreement with SUNY Broome Community College that enhances opportunities for students to complete a degree in Cornell’s Department of Food Science.
The agreement formalizes cooperation between Cornell and SUNY Broome to prepare qualified students for transfer into CALS while on track to earn a bachelor’s degree with a focus in either food science or food operations and management. Known as a 2+2 program, the agreement will allow students to complete the first two years of their bachelor’s degree program at SUNY Broome, then give them the option to transfer to CALS for their final two years.
