Our client is a multi-billion-dollar food and beverage manufacturer. They have an opportunity for a Project Engineering Manager, a corporate role based in their Rochester, NY area plant. This plant has over 400 employees, manufacturing plant-based beverages and some organics. This Project manager will be managing contractors and overseeing capital projects from $1 million to $10 million in several upstate NY facilities. Warehouse expansion and new filler lines are examples of projects for this hands-on manager. This position involves strategic leadership, budgeting, and costs and requires strong organizational skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering fields of study if applicable, or 7 – 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or Associate’s degree and 15 years related experience.
