Chemical manufacturing company in the food processing industry specializing in sanitation and production chemicals and equipment seeks a Chemist to join our team. Our Chemist is responsible for managing the chemistry lab, product formulation, research and development, quality control, technical services, regulatory compliance, and other related responsibilities as assigned.
This is a manager level position, and the ideal candidate will be able to grow the Chemistry department in conjunction with overall company growth. The Chemist may be asked to interface with customers in the field, must be a team player, down-to-earth, a self-starter, and well organized.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or higher in Chemistry, Microbiology experience a plus; Professional experience in Food Science related discipline, ideally in a food processing plant. Excellent lab skills and lab management skills required. Ability to successfully manage and implement multiple projects at the same time. Enjoys variety. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships at multiple organizational levels. Strong computer skills including MS Office applications required as well as InDesign.
