The University of Florida invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-accruing position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful applicant will hold a 50% teaching, 40% research, and 10% extension appointment in the Food Science and Human Nutrition (FSHN) Department, a unit of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS). Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in Food Science or a closely related discipline.

The successful individual will teach core courses in food chemistry, analysis, or processing, with options to develop additional offerings. Teaching duties will include student advising. The candidate is expected to maintain an active research program in the areas of food chemistry, food engineering, processing, and/or sustainable processes. The candidate is also expected to develop an appropriate extension program that will complement their research and teaching programs.
