Our client is a new division of a $20 billion conglomerate that was established in 1953. They have developed their business portfolio into four core sectors: Food and Food Service, Bio and Pharma, Entertainment and Media, and Retail and Logistics. They recently completed building a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, and have a new opportunity for a Regional Account Manager to open doors in the food service, (fast casual, casual dining), distributor and broker channels. They seek someone who has been in this market, who has a strong background in building relationships, preferably having experience in the Asian food industry. The Regional Account Manager will be based in Chicago.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies and provide input to account plans for target market penetration, focusing on top broad-line and select specialty distributors.
Generate a sustainable revenue stream which aligns with expectations and annual plans.
Evaluate market trends and gather competitor information to identify trends that affect regional sales and profitability.
Manage relevant communication between regional broker networks to facilitate Tier 3 accounts sales, communication of new items, and promotions.
Provide analyzed reporting, and conduct high-level business reviews.
Develop new business with new customers while building strong relationships with key distributor account decision makers.
Requirements:
5-7 years’ outside sales experience in food service sales, distributor account management.
Direct experience with top, broad-line distributors preferred.
5 + years’ experience managing a regional broker network or sales force.
3 + years of mainstream B2B sales experience; emphasis on frozen Asian appetizers and entrees preferred.
Proven track record of leveraging relationships to achieve business goals.
Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Preferred:
Marketing/Work experience in Asian company/industry.
